Doctrinal Statement

Abbreviated Doctrinal Statement:

1. We believe that the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God, authoritative, and useful for building right doctrine and right living.
2. We believe in one God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is all powerful, all knowing, and ever present.
3. We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, is both God and man. He lived a perfect life, called men to repentance, died for our sin, and was resurrected on the third day.
4. We believe that man was created innocent, but fell through the sin of Adam, and cannot save himself from his lost state.
5. We believe that salvation is a free gift and comes through the grace of God. It is achieved through personal faith in Jesus, whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Salvation is a gift of God, not earned. Christian works are in response to salvation, not to earn it.
6. We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper to be observed until He returns.
7. We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers to bring glory to God, through Christ, by obeying Him.
8. We believe in a literal return of Christ to earth to establish His kingdom, redeem His people, and eradicate His enemies: sin, death, and Satan.
