“Wrecked” – Matthew 13:44-46 – Stand Alone Sermon

If we look closely at ourselves, we would be forced to admit that apart from Jesus we are a mess. We are constantly harming ourselves and others by our actions and words. But Jesus offers us hope. He offers to reach out to us in the junkyard and make something beautiful out of the mess of our lives. “In Him Was Life” – Acts 2:22-36 – EASTER

Throughout history many have tried to win against death, going on quests for the fountain of youth or alchemy’s elixir of life, diving into cosmetic surgery, or seeking after modern medicine.  In the end though death claimed all of them.  All of them but one that is, Jesus Christ.  Death could not hold him in the grave.  Peter says in Acts 2, “It was impossible for death to hold him down.”  Jesus broke the icy grip of death and by so doing he paved the way for us to break its bonds as well.  Join us as we talk about Jesus as LIFE and the hope that his life brings   Sermon originally preached on April 8, 2012.

 

“The Easter Gift” – John 1:14-17

Easter is a very meaningful time to step back and focus on the significance of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.  Join us as we learn some things about Jesus from John 1, most notably that he is the giver of GRACE!!  Salvation is offered to us with no strings attached, because Christ was willing to sacrifice himself for us.
