“Reciprocity” – Colossians 3:18-19 – SERIES: Complete in Christ

Marriage is hard work. Too often people give up on their marriages too easily because they have unrealistic expectations. Marriages are the coming together of two individuals with sin natures. Of course it isn’t going to be easy! Join us as we look into Paul’s advice on how we can bring the gospel into our marriages and make them what God intended them to be. Sermon originally preached on April 3, 2016.

“Rejoice in One Truth” – Ephesians 2:8-10 – SERIES: CORE GOSPEL TRUTHS

What is the gospel?  The gospel is the good news that God is in the process of redeeming a people for himself and re-establishing his kingdom.  The plan of salvation is the way that we become a part of that kingdom.  Join us as Aaron gives his personal testimony, we debunk many myths about salvation, and uncover what the Bible really says on how to be reconciled with God.  Sermon originally preached on August 12, 2012.

“The Substitute” – 1 Peter 1:18-19 – SERIES: CORE GOSPEL TRUTHS

Many wonder why a loving God would allow his own son to be murdered in order to forgive the sins of others.  The problem is that they have the story wrong!  Join us as we uncover how the cross is the perfect intersection of God’s love and his justice and learn all of the blessings and privileges that can be ours because of what Jesus did for us!  Sermon originally preached on July 29, 2012.

“Emancipation” Philemon 8-25 – SERIES: SMALL BUT MIGHTY

When we meet people, we often quickly note what distinguishes us from them.  They are cool; I am not.  They are rich; I am poor.  They are male; I am female.  They are black; I am white.  If we are not careful, we can allow these distinctions to become barriers.  And that leads us to treat them differently.  We find a fantastic message in the small but mighty book of Philemon.  The gospel when sown and watered produces oneness.  In Christ, we are all brothers and sisters.  This great truth should not separate us, it should cause us to come together no matter the distinctions that the world forces on us.  Join us as we study Paul’s words to Philemon and find the seeds of the gospel that he plants.   Sermon originally preached on April 1, 2012.

“Harvest Time” – John 4:1-52 – SERIES: MISSION

“Open your eyes and look at the fields.  They are ripe for the harvest” (John 4:35b).  Jesus doesn’t mince words when it comes to MISSION.  We are sent out into our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities on a mission to make fully formed disciples of Christ, to live the gospel and to share the gospel.  Join us as we look at two biblical examples of evangelism as well as discuss seven sign posts that we can use to point people to their need for Jesus in a culture like ours.   Sermon originally preached on March 4, 2012.
